The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in three trims levels at Jeep dealer in Colorado Springs, the Laredo, Limited and Overland. All three trims are available in either four wheel drive or rear wheel drive. Four wheel drive has three 4×4 driving system options, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II. The Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II have a standard Selec-Terrain system, which allows the driver to choose the best option for their off-road or on-road driving needs. Jeep Grand Cherokee drivers can select from five terrain modes: automatic, sand/mud, sport, snow and rock.

“The new generation of the iconic Jeep Grand Cherokee delivers the perfect blend of on-road refinement, superb craftsmanship, world-class design, improved fuel economy, innovative features and legendary, real-world capability,” said Mike Manley, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Jeep Brand of the Chrysler Group LLC.

In addition, the all-new Quadra-Lift™ air suspension system allows drivers to customize their off-roading needs. The system allows for five different height settings to choose from depending on the driving needs and can add up to 4.1 inches of height.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the same Hemi V-8 engine as previous models, but will also be available with an all-new Pentastar-V6 engine. The fuel tank capacity has been increased to 24.6 gallons and achieved an estimated fuel economy of 16 city mpg and 22 highway mpg.

The interior of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee also received great updates that all occupants will love. Colorado Springs Jeep passengers will enjoy elements of luxury, including leather seats, a panoramic sunroof overhead, ambient lighting and wood paneling.

The Lexus division of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., recently reported strong April sales, with a 29.3 percent increase versus the same month a year ago Colorado Springs Lexus dealer, Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood announced.

Colorado’s first Lexus dealership, Stevinson Lexus of Lakewood, offers America’s best-selling line of luxury vehicles, along with the most attentive customer service in Denver, Colorado Springs, and the surrounding areas.

According to an article on Yahoo News, Toyota is considering a recall of certain models of the Toyota Corolla after consumers posted many complaints about power steering problems. Colorado Springs Toyota owner may be affected by this pending recall.

The news continues to get worse for this troubled car maker. The question to be seen is if these mounting problems will hurt the brand long term.

According to a survey of car dealers, many dealers feel that Toyota will bounce back from their recall woes. Many said that they would not count Toyota out and that the brand loyalty among Toyota owners was very strong.

Despite pressure from some lawmakers, President Akio Toyoda said he won’t be attending the U.S. congressional hearing on the automaker’s quality lapses, entrusting the job to U.S.-based executives, though would consider an appearance if the committee requests it. He said he wanted to focus on improving quality worldwide.

“I trust that our officials in the U.S. will amply answer the questions,” Toyoda said Wednesday in his third news conference in two weeks. “We are sending the best people to the hearing, and I hope to back up the efforts from headquarters.”

He said Yoshi Inaba, who heads Toyota Motor Corp.’s North American unit, was more familiar with the U.S. situation and was the best executive to deal with the hearing. Toyoda said he was still making plans to go to the U.S. and dates have yet to be set.
